The concept of stabilizing the economic and social and political situation in Sudan has already been posted on the Foundation’s website.
The next step was the publication of materials concerning the development and implementation of the principal directions of the reform program for the Republic of Sudan. The study was not only based on an analysis of the situation in Sudan. As its empirical basis, the generalized experience of 12 countries, which managed to significantly improve the social and economic status through reforms, even though they were in the same situation as Sudan, was used.
These documents came to the disposal of Omar al-Bashir in autumn 2018. If he had listened to the recommendations set out in them, the crisis in the Republic could have been avoided. However, the official Khartoum chose to ignore them, which eventually led to a social and political collapse.
